Arts Education
Holistic development has been highly valued in our school, especially in nurturing emotional well-being of our students. The kindergarten section is very enthusiastic about the development of arts curriculum. Our teachers stimulate children’s potential and thinking as well as inspire their creativity through interactive educational pedagogy.
Visual Art
- Students’ artworks display the boundless creativity and pure inner world of children, allow them to express their emotions and develop problem-solving skills
- Through a wide range of activities, children’s aesthetic sense and interest are aroused
- By discussing different artworks, children’s vocabulary, concept and creativity are built
- Using different types of material, children have hands-on experience about shapes, colours, space and textures.
- Children integrate upon their social experiences when working together with others
Music
- Having different musical stimulation, children learn how to express their feelings in different ways
- Exploring different types of performances, such as singing, dancing, playing musical instruments or composing songs, children know how to appreciate others’ work, and respect different types of expression
- Learning the musical notes and composing their own music, can widen children’s exploration of performing arts
- Children show their feelings and imagination through drawing or dancing
- Listening to different sounds, children are more alert to their surroundings and know the relationship between objects and their sounds
